116 Covid-19 patients detected in separate testing drives in city

Aurangabad, March 24:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 116 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

22 Covid-19 positives from the business fraternity

The health teams tested 278 business people and their staff at five places and detected 22 Covid-19 patients. The team found five infected by testing 42 at T V Centre, seven by testing 93 near Hotel Lemon Tree, five by testing 81 at Adalat Road, three by testing 28 at Shahnoormiyan Dargah Road and two by testing 34 at Patidar Bhavan, stated the AMC.

84 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has started testing visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 153 persons and found 18 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 90 and detected 26 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 82 and found 10 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 93 and detected 20 at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 85 and detected five at Daulatabad T-Point PoE and five detected by testing 148 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

10 found Coronavirus infected at government offices

The testing of visitors was also held at five government offices. The team detected three Covid-19 positives by conducting antigen tests of 20 visitors at AMC headquarter, one by testing 38 visitors at the police commissionerate office, zero by testing 15 visitors at the district collectorate, four by testing 44 visitors at the divisional commissionerate and two after testing 107 visitors at the RTO office today.
