19 students of Chemistry, Geography Depts qualify SET

Aurangabad, April 8:

A total of 19 students of Chemistry and Geography Departments of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) qualified the State Eligibility Test (SET). The SET result was out on Wednesday night.

Both the departments maintained the tradition of success in the test. More than 500 students of the department have passed NET/SET/GATE so far. Chemistry Department head Dr Machhindra Lande said that 12 students of the department qualified the SET this year.

Their names are Narendra Surse, Krishna Lathi, Rohini Ambure, Amol Kute, Laxman Kharabe, Ganesh Deshmane, Somnath Dhavle, Priyanka Chapkanade, Akash Tapre, Rahul Bhatte, Kavita Chavan and Ashok Bhosale.

Vice-chancellor Dr Pramod Yeole said that it is a matter of joy that the highest number of students from Bamu pass SET, NET, Rajiv Fellowship, SARTHI and BARTI fellowship tests in the State.

Geography Department head Dr Madanlal Suryanshi said that seven students qualified the SET this time around.

Their names are Haribhau Vithore, Pratiksha Mohite, Megha Kulkarni, Akash Gire, Sambhaji Dhage, Dhanashri Dhavalkar and Bapu Gujar.
