1st year UG courses exams to commence from today

Aurangabad, April 5:

The first-year students of different courses, including B A, B Com, B Sc, BCA, BSW, B Com, B A, LLB, B A-Journalism, will take their first session examination from April 6.

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) conducts the first session examinations every year from October.

The first session for the academic year 2020-21 was delayed by six months. The first session examinations of second and third-year examinations of UG courses were already commenced from March 16 while first-year BA, B Com, B Sc and other courses will appear for the examinations from Tuesday.

Those who opted for online mode can take their papers from home while offline mode, candidates were allotted examination centre at their college.

There are 212 centres in Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad districts.

Director of Board of Examination and Evaluation (BOEE) Dr Yogesh Patil said that a monitoring squad comprising three teachers for each tehsil was deployed to implement COVID measures.

There are 34 tehsils within the jurisdiction of Bamu. Also, a coordination committee of 20 officers and employees was set up to hold the examinations smoothly.

Some of the officers' names are Rameshwar Wankallu, Sandeep Darbastawar, Vijay Bodke, Ishtiyaq Khan, Rajendra Gangurde and Iliyas Shaikh.
