35 workers of RV Lifesciences reinstated

Aurangabad, April 9:

The RV Lifesciences Ltd in Waluj cancelled the suspension of 35 workers by the management on Friday. The New Panther Sena union had taken an aggressive stance on the issue of suspension of workers.

The workers had formed a union by accepting membership of the New Panther Sena. This led to a dispute between the management and the workers. The management on March 27 had asked workers to write a written apology alleging that they were not working properly. However, the company management had on April 5 suspended 35 workers for refusing to give an apology. The workers had protested in front of the company against the decision and demanded to be reinstated. In this regard, the company management claimed that the workers were not fired and had only instructed them to issue a written apology. Sena president Anil Jabhade had also lodged a complaint with the labour commissioner against the suspension. For the last four days, the workers have been denied entry to the company, which had created an atmosphere of dissatisfaction among the workers. Later, MIDC Waluj police station PI Madhukar Sawant mediated between the management and the union. The management then cancelled the suspension of all 35 workers and reinstated them in the company on Friday. Unit president Sambhaji Bhapkar, vice president Vilas Kale, secretary Ramesh Rathod, treasurer Raju Chavan and workers applauded the decision.
