69 Covid-19 patients detected in separate testing drives in city

Aurangabad, April 2:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 69 Covid-19 patients during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

63 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has started testing visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 204 persons and found 15 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 126 and detected 20 at Harsul T

Point PoE, tested 137 and found 11 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 537 and detected five at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 265 and detected five at Daulatabad T-Point PoE and seven detected by testing 140 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

Two Coronavirus infected visitors at government offices

The testing of visitors was also held at three government offices. The team detected one Covid-19 positive by conducting antigen tests of four visitors at AMC headquarter, one by testing 21 visitors at the police commissionerate office and no person was found infected by testing two visitors at the district collectorate, today.

Four air passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

Four air passengers, who had arrived in the city on Thursday, have been reported as Covid-19 positive today. The AMC health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 87 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 27 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by plane on April 1. The reports received by the health section claimed that four air passengers had been reported as Covid-19 positive. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams conducted RT-PCR tests on 97 train passengers and 25 air passengers (on April 2). The reports will be received tomorrow.
