69 Covid-19 patients detected in separate testing drives in city

Aurangabad, April 23:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 69 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

49 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) on Friday. The health teams tested 323 persons and found 11 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 220 and detected 16 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 461 and found eight Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 353 and detected six at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 224 and three were detected at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and five were detected by testing 280 at Jhalta

Phata PoE.

Four Coronavirus infected found in government offices

The testing of visitors was held at six government offices. However, the team has detected two Covid-19 patients each by conducting antigen tests of visitors at the AMC headquarter and the police commissioner's office. The testing was also done at the High Court, the divisional commissioner's office, and the district collectorate but no infected person was detected. The testing was not done at the RTO office.

13 passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

A total of seven train and six air passengers, who had arrived in the city on Thursday, have been reported as Covid-19 positives today. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 50 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 41 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by planes on April 22. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 66 train passengers arriving at the railway station and 16 tests on air passengers at the

Chikalthana airport today (on April 23). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.

Three Covid-19 spreaders detected on roads

The 12 mobile teams (comprising AMC health and police personnel) have conducted antigen tests of 199 persons moving on the roads, in the jurisdiction of 15 police stations, and detected three Covid-19 patients on Friday. The testing is done in two shifts (from 9 am to 5 pm and 5 pm to 1 am) and there are six teams in each shift.
