69 Covid-19 patients detected in separate testing drives in city

Aurangabad, March 27:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 69 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

63 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 129 persons and found 10 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 128 and detected 22 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 84 and found 09 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 35 and detected nine at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 120 and detected nine at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and four were detected by testing 125 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

Three Coronavirus infected at government offices

The testing of visitors was also held at three out of five government offices. The team has detected one Covid-19 positive by conducting antigen tests of two visitors at AMC headquarter, one by testing 40 visitors at the police commissionerate office and one by testing four visitors at the district collectorate. The testing was zero at the divisional commissionerate and the RTO offices today.

Three passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

One air and two train passengers, who had arrived in the city on Thursday, have been reported as Covid-19 positive today. The AMC health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 82 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 34 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by plane on March 26. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams conducted RT-PCR tests on 47 air passengers (on March 27) only. The tests of passengers arriving by Sachkhand Express could not be done as it was running very late.
