89 Covid-19 patients detected in separate testing drives in city

Aurangabad, April 8:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 89 persons as Covid-19 positives during the special testing drives conducted at separate places in the city.

65 Covid-19 patients detected at six PoEs

The AMC has tested visitors entering the city limits through six points of the entrance (PoE) today. The health teams tested 403 persons and found 11 infected patients at Chikalthana PoE; tested 267 and detected 26 at Harsul T Point PoE, tested 289 and found 15 Covid-19 positives at Kanchanwadi PoE, tested 525 and detected four at Octroi Naka PoE, tested 294 and detected eight at Daulatabad T-Point PoE, and one was detected by testing 191 at Jhalta Phata PoE.

13 Coronavirus infected traced at government offices

The testing of visitors was held at seven government offices. The team has detected one Covid-19 positive by conducting antigen tests of seven visitors at the AMC headquarter, two by testing 27 at the police commissioner's office, three by testing 32 visitors at the High Court, two by testing 27 at the RTO office, one by testing 18 visitors at the district collectorate, two by testing 14 visitors at the divisional commissioner's office and two by testing 20 visitors at the registry office today.

11 passengers detected as Covid-19 patients

One air and 10 train passengers, who had arrived in the city on Wednesday, have been reported as Covid-19 positive today. As reported earlier, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health teams had conducted RT-PCR tests on 98 passengers arriving at the railway station by trains and 29 passengers arriving at Chikalthana airport by planes on April 7. The AMC received the RT-PCR reports of these passengers today. Meanwhile, the AMC health teams have conducted RT-PCR tests of 111 train passengers arriving in the city and 40 tests on air passengers at the airport today (April 8). The administration will receive their reports by tomorrow.
