Actual classes begin in 620 schools of district

Aurangabad, July 15:

Actual classes were started in 620 schools for the students of the eighth to 12th standards of the district on Thursday.

The classes began first time during the academic year. It may be noted that all the classes were halted in March 2020 with the spread of Covid 19.

The classes were resumed in the city and rural areas during November-December 2020 with the decline of patients. However, the classes were discontinued from March 2021 again.

The new academic year (2021-220) began last month. The schools were reopened while there were restrictions on holding actual classes. Many teachers and students were fed up with online classes.

The State Government issued guidelines for holding actual classes in the schools of Covid free villages.

The guidelines included permission from a seven-member team led by the village sarpanch, consent of parents. The Zilla Parishad administration held a meeting with headmasters and sarpanch for this purpose. The actual classes began in 620 schools of 446 villages that reported no patients during the last month.

Officers of the education department visited some schools in the district to see the enthusiasm of students.
