ADCCB elections held in low-key manner

Aurangabad, April 5:

The newly elected chairman of Aurangabad District Central Co-operative (ADCC) Bank, Nitin Patil, underlined that he would strive hard and go for strategic planning so that the bank could earn maximum profits during his tenure.

" Now politics is over. I will follow the footsteps of my father and take strenuous efforts so that the bank could earn maximum profits," said Patil.

The Election Returning Officer Mukesh Barhate under whom the election of the Board of Directors (BoD) was held, got Covid-19 positive. As a result, today's election was conducted by the district deputy registrar Anil Kumar Dabshede.

Prior to the arrival of all the board of directors (BoD) at the ADCCB, all of them had a meeting at Hotel Atithi and then proceeded unitedly. A tight police bandobast was maintained on the bank campus. Earlier, there was no entry to the press, but all the media persons came inside after some time.

Kiran Patil Dongaonkar and Devyani Dongaonkar both arrived in PPE kits to cast their votes, as they were Covid-19 infected.

The election was held in a low-key manner. Due to prohibitory orders in the wake of Covid-19, neither of them threw 'gulal' upon each other, nor anybody celebrated the occasion.

After the election, the minister of state Abdul Sattar and Nitin Patil, as a courtesy, both went to meet Haribhau Bagade.

After the election, Satish Chavan left the venue, saying that he will not visit the chairman's chamber until it is not renovated. Bhumre's activist Ankush Randhe was defeated from the OBC constituency, but Bhumre was seen supporting the winner, Devyani Dongaonkar's husband, in VC's election today. Sattar claimed that Chandrakant Khaire campaigned for Imtiyaz Jaleel's AIMIM by supporting Shahnawaz Khan, the opposite panel's contestant during the BoD election.
