Aurangabad, May 3:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is accused of delaying in taking action against the junior engineer Subhash Mote and contractual staff (recovery) Shivling Kale, who were booked by the police, for being in an inebriated condition, four days ago.

Under the influence of liquor, the duo parked their four-wheeler in front of the traffic signal at Baba petrol Pump and tried to sleep in the car.

It is learnt that Mote (from the tax assessment section) got retired recently, but the AMC administrator, extended his service by six months. On April 29, Mote was spotted in a drunken state at the above signal. Kale was also in the car. The duo created chaos in public. Accordingly, the Vedantnagar police station registered a case against them. Later on, the AMC was expected to take action against them, but no action has been taken by the establishment section in the last four days.

The AMC's establishment officer Vikram Darade said, " We are expecting to receive one copy of the offence filed by the police. We will initiate action as soon as we receive the report from police."
