AMC collects property tax of Rs 4L; seals one shop to recover Rs 1.16 L

Aurangabad, Feb 11:

The special task force of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today sealed one shop and recovered property tax of Rs 3.97 lakh from property-holders in Zone Numbers 3, 5,6 and 9.

To recover the property tax outstanding, the civic team (in Zone No-3) collected a cheque of Rs 1.57 lakh from Prashant Shelke and Sangeeta Deshmukh of Jiveshwar Colony and Rs 40,000 from Imran Akhtar of Altamash Colony.

The AMC personnel collected a cheque of Rs 50,000 from Ganesh Kawade (in Zone No-5), and Rs 1 lakh from Dilip Rajput (Vishrantinagar) in Zone No- 6. Ganesh Motels of Pannalalnagar (in Zone No-9) also deposited a cheque of Rs 50,000 against the property tax.

One shop sealed

The civic personnel sealed one shop Shaikh Naim, situated at Mukundwadi Bus Stop (in Zone No-6) when he failed to deposit property tax dues of Rs 1.16 lakh, said the head of special task force, Aparna Thete.
