AMC conducts 5,021 tests today; detects 183 COVID patients in city

Aurangabad, March 12:

The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) health officials conducted 875 antigen and 4,146 RT-PCR tests (total of 5,021 tests) at its COVID Care Centres (CCCs) and different places in the city and traced 183 Covid-19 patients (including 13 residents of areas out of the AMC limits) today.

The health teams conducted 107 antigen tests at the CCCs and detected 34 persons as infected. The AMC personnel also held 1,806 RT-PCR tests at the CCCs. Meanwhile, by visiting different parts of the city, the mobile teams have conducted 736 antigen tests and detected 145 Coronavirus infected persons. They also collected swab samples of 1,711 suspects for RT-PCR tests.

According to AMC data, the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) conducted 46 RT-PCR tests, district civil hospital - 11 and private laboratories - 572 on Friday. The private laboratories also conducted 32 antigen tests and found four infected patients. The AMC will be receiving the reports of all RT-PCR tests tomorrow.
