AMC detects 76 Covid-19 patients in separate testing drives

Aurangabad, March 20:

The health teams of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has detected 76 persons as Covid-19 positive during the special testing drives implemented at separate places in the city.

57 Covid-19 positives reported from the business fraternity

The health teams tested 567 business people and their staff at six places and detected 57 Covid-19 patients. The team found 14 infected by testing 102 persons at Fine Honda, 12 by testing 66 at Sutgirni Chowk, three by testing 47 at Jaffar Gate, four by testing 69 at Avishkar Colony, seven by testing 125 at Akashwani and 17 by testing 58 at Dashmeshnagar centre, stated the AMC.

12 Covid-19 patients detected at PoEs

The AMC has started testing visitors entering the city limits through three points of the entrance (PoE) from today. The team tested 17 persons and found two infected at Chikalthana PoE; 41 were tested and six were found positives at Harsul T Point PoE, and four Covid-19 positives were found after testing 43 at Kanchanwadi PoE.

Seven visitors tested Coronavirus infected

During the testing of visitors at government offices, the team detected four Covid-19 positives by testing 12 visitors at AMC headquarter and three Covid-19 positives by testing 20 visitors at the police commissionerate office today.
