AMC students leave for Pune to attend workshop on satellite-launch

Aurangabad, Jan 18:

A batch of ten students, selected to participate in the launch of 100 Femto Satellites from Rameshwaram, today left the city to attend the workshop to be held in Pune on January 19.

The satellite launching programme to be held on February 7 is organised by Dr A.P.J Kalam National Foundation's Space Zone India. The students are studying in Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) schools at Priyadarshini, Harsul, Mukundwadi, and Cidco N-7.

The civic administration today presented a travel kit comprising tracksuit, shoes etc. to each shortlisted student. The students will also get hands-on experience to assemble the satellite and participate in the launch of Femto Satellites - a world record event. The civic officers and school teachers extended their best wishes to the students on their scientific journey today.
