AMC to set up two spacious CCCs accommodate 525 Covid-19 patients

Aurangabad, March 22:

To tackle the health emergency and create accommodation facilities for the Covid-19 patients, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has geared up to start jumbo Covid Care Centres (CCC) at Divisional Sports Complex and Deogiri Boys Hostel in the city. There will be 225 and 300 beds facilities respectively at these CCCs.

There are more than 9,000 active Covid patients in the city and all the CCCs started by AMC are full of patients. By testing 3,000 to 4,000 suspects, the AMC health teams are detecting more than 1,000 Covid-19 patients daily. It may be noted that the positivity rate of the city was 34 per cent and the recovery rate was 80 pc on Sunday.

The recently started CCCs on the university campus are full of admissions. The patients recovering their health from Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) are shifted to Ramai Hostel. Besides, the patients are also undergoing treatment on 180 and 200 beds at Yeshwant and CSM CCCs on the campus.

Function halls to be converted into CCCs

As a precautionary measure, the AMC had checked 60 function halls in the city. The officials have decided to convert the halls having adequate basic facilities into CCCs to tackle the health emergency.
