Another lockdown for Aurangabad district

Aurangabad, March 27:

In a move to control the rapidly spreading Covid-19 infection, the administration decided to impose a lockdown in the district from midnight on March 30 to April 8. The lockdown order was issued jointly by the chairman of the district disaster management committee and district collector Sunil Chavan and commissioner of police Dr Nikhil Gupta on Saturday evening. Essential services and industries are excluded from this lockdown.

Responsibility has been assigned to the concerned officials of the municipal corporation, revenue, police and various government offices for effective implementation of lockdown in the district. Collector Chavan and CP Dr Gupta said that any person violating the lockdown order should be immediately booked. No more than 5 people can come together.

Action against violators

Strict action will be taken against those violating the rules during the lockdown. For this, joint teams of the municipal corporation, revenue and police will be formed within the municipal limits. The team will also include staff from the food and drug administration, state excise department, transport department and supply department. Joint squads of revenue and police departments will be formed under the municipal council. At the village level, the gram panchayat, revenue and police department should set up squads and take action against those who do not follow the rules, the order said.

Essential services allowed

District court staff, officers, judges, lawyers, newspaper and digital media staff, government and central government staff, staff of government-affiliated organizations, health care workers, Asha workers, nurses, Anganwadi workers, medical shop and pharmaceutical company workers, milk sellers, essential services - such as agriculture, seeds, fertilizers, gas distributors, water supply and sanitation workers, municipal and police department employees, revenue department employees, surveyors- will all be allowed to ride two-wheelers or other vehicles. Only two people will be allowed in auto-rickshaw.

What will remain closed:

-Public grounds, playgrounds, open spaces.

-Restaurants, lodges, hotels, bars, markets, weekly markets will be closed.

- Salons, beauty parlours, spa will be closed.

- Private vehicles - two-three-four-wheelers, freight ban (except vehicles of essential services).

- Schools, colleges, coaching classes, training institutes will also remain closed.

- Private and public bus services in the district will also be completely closed.

- All types of construction work will be completely closed.

- Cinema theatres, marriage halls, religious gatherings.

- All types of private establishments and offices in the city will remain closed.

- All religious places are closed, only priests will be allowed to worship.

These services are allowed:

-All industries, workers will have to undergo a corona test every fortnight.

- Grocery stores open from 8 am to 12 pm.

- Milk shops and distribution from 6 am to 11 am

- Meat shops from 8 am to 12 noon

- Sales of vegetables and fruits from 6 am to 11 am

- Mall from 8 am to 12 noon only for vegetables and groceries

- Only essential service employees will get fuel at the petrol pump

- LPG gas home delivery service only

- Agriculture equipment, seed, fertilizer shops 8 am to 12 noon

- Private hospitals, medicals

- E-commerce service home delivery service

- Newspaper distribution, print and electronic media offices will continue.

- Transportation of all types of raw and finished goods will continue.

- Only 20 people will be allowed to the funeral.

- Railways, air travel allowed, but corona test report will be compulsory for passengers.

- Courts, government offices will continue as per government rules.

- Petrol pumps, gas pumps will continue. Government employees will get petrol at the pumps.
