API''s car hits Jeep on Jalna road

Aurangabad, Oct 15:

An assistant police inspector, Jalna division, said to be driving under the influence of alcohol hit a jeep in front of Daivat Lawns on Jalna Road at around 5 pm on Thursday. A case has been registered at MIDC Cidco police station. Although no one was injured in the crash, both vehicles were damaged.

According to police, a jeep (MH20-FP-3494) heading towards Aurangabad was hit by a car (MH14-EP-2700) driven by API Vijay Tupe. He then had an argument with jeep driver Champaklal Ghushinge. The accident was reported to MIDC Cidco police. The police went to the spot and cleared the traffic and brought the two to the police station. The car and jeep drivers started reconciling, however the chaos continued till late in night. The officials said that a complaint has not been lodged yet. If a complaint is lodged, a medical examination of Tupe will be conducted first.
