Aspirants disturbed over delay competitive exams like MHT, NEET, JEE-Main

Aurangabad, May 12:

Aspirants of different entrance examinations, including MHT-CET, Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), are worried about delay in their schedule.

The State and national level tests are conducted for admissions in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Law, Education, Physical Education, Health Sciences, Management, Fine Art and Agriculture undergraduate courses to select eligible, deserving candidates for the admissions. Lakhs of students prepare for the test for one to three years to crack that particular test. Like 2020, most of the tests were delayed because of COVID spread.

The delay has caused stress and anxiety among students since the test is a turning point for their career.

The registration process for MHT-CET and NEET has not commenced yet. Generally, the registration begins in December-January while the test is conducted in May.

Harshavardhan Mali, a JEE-Main aspirant, said that the whole process, from registration to result and admission, would be delayed.

“The students start preparations for the test since 11th standard. Most of the aspirants have finished their preparations. Since all are getting more time, it means there will be tough competition,” he said.

Mohsina Fatema preparing for the MHT-CET, said that there is a need to come out with a solution so that the test is held on time.

“There is uncertainty about the pandemic situation in the country. Such type of condition will create problem whenever virus spreads,” she added.
