Aspirants of polytechnic, Engg, Pharmacy asked to take admission in recognised institutes only

Aurangabad, May 20:

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has asked all the aspirants of diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses not to take admission in unauthorised institutes.

It may be noted the DTE implements the admission process of diploma (polytechnic) in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy, Hotel Management and Catering Technology and vocational courses.

Similarly, the State Common Entrance Test Cell (SCETC) carries out the admission process for B E, B Tech in Engineering and Technology and Agriculture, B Pharmacy, B-HMCT, B Planning, B Vocational, ME/M Tech, M Pharmacy, M-Architecture, Pharm D, MBA, MMS and MCA every year.

There are authorities and bodies which recognise the course to maintain quality. The name of authorities and bodies included All India Council for Technical Education, Pharmacy Council of India, Council of Architecture, University Grants Commission, Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education and respective universities.

DTE issued a notification stating that students should not take admission in unrecognised institutes, which may cause them final loss.

“We receive complaints about luring and cheating by such unauthorised institutes.

Students seek information about recognition before taking admissions in any diploma, UG and PG institutes to save their money and time,” the DTE mentioned in the notification.

Aspirants of the courses can get information about all the recognised institutes on the DTE website.
