Aurangabad, Oct 12: Most of the industries in all the five industrial estates in the city have started rising from the morbid condition after the lockdown period of around five months and have attained the 80 percent and more production capacity.

The government had imposed a lockdown across the country from March 24 to bring the Covid situation in control. All the industries across the nation were closed. Now, the state government has implemented the unlock process, and the district administration granted permission to the industries to start production from June onwards. The industries faced several hardships to reinstate the industries as usual. They faced problems of labour, market and measures to prevent Corona. The industries could reach only 50 percent production of the total capacity, despite taking several measures.

Now, the festive season is heading and the industries in the city have gain momentum. Most of the sectors have reached 80 percent of the production of the total capacity. Moreover, the automobile, pharmaceutical, food process, and breweries industries are getting 100 percent production. Many small and medium industries dependent on the big industries have received orders till December. Still, the inter-state railway transportation has not started yet due to which the industries are not getting the skilled workforce. The industries are now training the local skill for enhancing the production, the industrialists said.

Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) secretary, Satish Lonikar said, there was a phase of uncertainty over the industries for the past few months which is diminishing gradually now. The government, administration, and industries took stern steps and adopted several measures to control the situation. Now, the Corona panic has reduced and the industries are getting orders, he said.
