Aurangabad is leading in industrial sector: Desai

Aurangabad, June 28:

" Aurangabad is leading in the industrial sector and will continue to maintain its numero uno position in future. An ideal 'Aurangabad Industrial City' (Auric) has been developed as a part of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Accordingly, the ideal city will stand prelude for the industrial development in the country," said the guardian minister Subhash Desai while inaugurating the new building of the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) today.

MLC Ambadas Danve, MLA Atul Save, CMIA president Kamlesh Dhoot, vice president Shivprasad Jaju, secretary Satish Lonikar, president of Building Committee Giridhar Sangeneria along with office-bearers of MASSIA and Zilla Vyapari Mahasangh were present on the occasion.

" The state is witnessing rapid industrial progress. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Department of Industries (DoI) had signed mutual agreements of valuing Rs 2 lakh crore with 60 Indian and foreign companies. The government is committed to the overall development in other districts of Maharashtra along with Aurangabad. The contribution of CMIA in the industrial sector is valuable. It always represents the issues studiously with an aim to give a push to the industrial development," stressed the guardian minister.

MLA Save demanded repairing of roads in the Chikalthana MIDC sector. Danve, CMIA's Jaju and Sangeneria also expressed their views. Dhoot made an introductory speech, while Lonikar conducted the proceedings.

Acknowledgment of industries

The guardian minister presented appreciation certificates to the industries as an acknowledgment of their help extended to the administration during the Covid-19 pandemic situation. These donor industries include United Breweries, Harman Finochem, Airox Technologies, Ajanta Pharma, and Kohler Power. The minister lauded CMIA for their valuable contribution like starting the oxygen plant at GMCH, donating various medical equipment, etc. during the pandemic situation.
