Case against traders opening shops despite warning

Aurangabad, April 6:

Against the backdrop of increasing corona infection, restrictions have been imposed in the state under the 'Break the Chain' till April 30. On the first day of the implementation, many traders opened shops. Such traders were given a warning by the police. Cases were registered against those who did not close their shops. Apart from this, punitive action was taken against 156 citizens without masks.

The number of corona cases in Aurangabad city and district is increasing day by day. The situation is similar in other cities in the state. Against this backdrop, the state government issued strict regulations in the state under break the chain and imposed many restrictions. The administration had given permission to open shops selling essential commodities, medical stores, hospitals, grocery stores, milk, bakery and sweet shops. As a result, these shops opened in the morning. As hotels were allowed to provide parcel facility, delivery boys of various online food companies were seen standing at the hotels. However, many pan shops were open at Pundaliknagar and cloth shop owners continued their business by keeping the shutters of the cloth shop half-open.

Tilakpath, Gulmandi, Shahganj closed

All the markets were closed except one or two shops at Shahgunj, City Chowk and Tilakpath. A police team was on patrol at Tilakpath. In Shahganj and City Chowk, police officers and staff, with the help of home guards, were cracking down on unmasked civilians. Action was taken against 156 citizens and a fine of Rs 78,000 was recovered from them.

Police appeal traders, citizens

Citychowk police station inspector Sambhaji Pawar and other officers drove around the city in police vehicles from 9 to 10:30 am and appealed to the traders to follow the rules to prevent corona infection. They also appealed to citizens to not go out for no reason. Traders responded to the call and kept the shops closed since morning.
