A meeting of principals of different schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was held at the office of Commissioner of Police on Thursday.It may be noted that cases of disputes between parents and schools surfaced during the last few months over tuition fee hike and collection in COVID situation. Cases of disputes between schools and parents were also reported over the fee.

Commissioner of police Nikhil Gupta, district collector Sunil Chavan, education officers S P Jaiswal and Dr B B Chavan held discussions with principals over the collection of tuition fee, coordination between schools and education officer, resolving parents issues amicably and maintaining law and order situation.

The top officers suggested the principal keep good understanding with parents.“Tuition fee can be charged as online education is being imparted. Do not charge unnecessarily for bus, canteen and library which are not being used.If a parent has lost a job and is facing financial problem, the school may give concession to such parents,” the officers said.Majority of principals said that parents had not cleared fee of last academic year (2019-20).

“If parents have any issue, they should talk with us. Schools have already given concession in fee for the current academic year taking into COVID situation,” they said.Principal of Nath Valley School Ranjit Dass, Principal of Stepping Stones High School A M D’Cruize, Principal of Universal High School Seema Gupta, Principal Sudhir Hadke from Riverdale High School, TCH Principal Anita Patil and Principal from Peals Academic Dr Nayer Iqbal, Principal of Scholar''s Valley School Irfan Shaikh Principal of Swami Vivekanand D S Chavan and others were present.
