Central team investigates reasons of death of Corona patients

Aurangabad, April 11:

In the backdrop of the increased Corona pandemic, a team from the Centre took the review of the Corona situation in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Saturday. The centre directed the team to investigate the reasons of so many deaths every day and hence the team went to the GMCH again on Sunday. The death audit committee informed gave the details about the deaths to the team. Chairman for the committee, Dr Anil Joshi, Dr L S Deshmukh, head of medicine department, Dr Meenakshi Bhattacharya, Dr Prabhakar Jirvankar, Dr Kailas Chitale, Dr Avinash Lamb, Dr Pradeep Kulkarni and others were present. The team inquired about the regular meeting schedule of the committee and its observation about the increased deaths. Information about the deaths of 1258 patients in the GMCH was given to the team in which the patients died had diabetes, heart disease, blood pressure are co-morbidities.
