Central team orders to stop mobility of citizens in containment zones

Aurangabad, April 9:

The Central Government team today ordered the health officials of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to stop the entry and exit of citizens from the Containment Zones.

The AMC declared 26 containment zones in the city during the last week. Prior to the arrival of the team, the civic officials displayed banners declaring containment zones on Thursday. However, the civic administration failed to take any measure beyond that in these zones.

The team head Dr Abhijeet Pakhare started his city tour at 9 am. He visited the prohibited areas in the jurisdiction of each ward office. The health officer, ward officer and former corporators were present on the occasion. Pakhare inspected the containment zones minutely and instructed for adequate arrangements in them.

The team applauded the efforts of Asha Workers. The team also instructed the AMC to deploy one health team for testing at Reliance Mall. They expressed satisfaction with seeing arrangements at MIT Covid Care Centre. Dr Pakhare also visited Covid War Room (at AMC headquarter) and reviewed its performance. He obtained details of the MHMH App. The municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Neeta Padalkar apprised the details of the information available on App including the status of beds (vacant and occupied). Pakhare suggested uploading information like charges of beds fixed by the government on the App. It is learnt that tomorrow the team will be visiting various hospitals in the city.
