Aurangabad, March 20:

Angry relatives of an older woman created pandemonium in a private hospital after a 65-year-old woman died, today early morning (at 5 am). The incident took place in Cidco Waluj Mahanagar. The issue, however, got curtailed after the relatives and doctor resolved it amicably.

According to details, the elderly woman from Bajajnagar was admitted to the Waluj Hospital a couple of days ago. However, she died while undergoing treatment today (on Saturday) at 4 am. On learning about her death, the relatives reached the hospital and accused doctors and staff of lethargy in the treatment. They also argued with one doctor and other hospital staff. When the argument reached a height, the doctor contacted the Waluj MIDC police station and narrated the whole incident. The police team comprising PSI Preeti Phad, assistant sub-inspector Gautam Khandagale and others reached the hospital. They took the statements of both the relatives as well as the doctor. Later on, the relatives realised their mistake and submitted a letter to the doctor stating that the incident had happened due to a misunderstanding. The relatives also took the woman's body in their possession for performing the last rites on her.

When contacted, the police inspector, Madhukar Sawant said, " The relatives and the hospital doctor both discussed and settled the matter amicably. Nobody had registered the complaint, therefore, nobody has been booked in this regard."
