Aurangabad, Jan 11:

Youths are important for any country’s development. They are the driving force as everything, from the economy and environment to health, medicine, and technology, lies in the hands of the youth. A country’s greatest asset is its youth. There are some youths who are pursuing different courses in the city are contributing to nation-building despite against all odds.

One of them is Swaraj Shejule, who has developed ‘Artificial Automated Breathing Unit (AABU)’ for Novel coronavirus patients. He said that he had seen on the TV channels there is news about the shortage of ventilators for serious COVID patients in the city and the State.

“The shortage is because of the high cost of ventilators. Patients cannot afford its price. I decided to do something to repay society by developing low-cost ventilator. I have developed AABU and its cost is just Rs 3000. I have not yet applied for the patient as I am still working to improve it,” he asserted.

A youth Syed Naseer is a social activist in Naregaon has sold his bullet in lockdown to help poor and needy persons financially. “One day, I saw a woman who was a patient in a hospital literally cried to see meal packet. I decided to serve grains kits and meal to needy people since then. I used whatever cash I had. Later, I sold my bullet. I did this for the sake of Almighty and not for any show or publicity,” he said while refusing to give further details.

Another youth is Prashant Patel who is doing B Tech (second year) course from National Insitute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) in the city has started providing physical training to youths to serve the country through defence services.

“My friends and I decided to do something to contribute to society. Many youths in our village Chachawali (MP) wish to join the army and other defence services.

But, they lack proper training. We are imparting them physical training, conducting games and exercise, all free of cost since April 2020. We are happy to see the youths developing a passion for defence services and are doing well. The initiative is the milestone towards youths development,” he added.
