Aurangabad, June 4:

The additional commissioner -I, B B Nemane has been given the authority to sanction administrative, financial proposals, and tenders of valuing up to Rs 10 lakh submitted by various sections. Meanwhile, the head of each section will have to submit their proposal to the municipal commissioner if its value is above Rs 10 lakh. However, in both cases, the head of each section will have to first consult with the chief accounts officer (CAO), and then table the proposal.

The civic chief also appointed heads of various sections and fixed their responsibilities. The assistant commissioner Nandkishore Bhombe will head the Solid waste Management section, chief accounts officer Sanjay Pawar will head the Accounts section, chief auditor D K Hiwale will be the head of Audit section, assistant director Jayant Kharwadkar will head the Town Planning section and deputy commissioner Aparna Thete will head the Establishment section (handling matters of Class III and IV). Apart from his regular post, Nemane will also head the Municipal Secretary, Assessor, and Collector of Tax and BoT sections.

It may be noted that the city engineer S D Panzade is retiring from his services on June 30. Hence, he has been appointed as Nodal Officer of Smart City and the retired in-charge executive engineer M B Kazi will head the Vigilance section.
