Confidential audio clip of Kendrekar goes viral on WhatsApp group

After the video conferencing of chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, divisional commissioner Sunil Kendrekar recorded an audio message for all the district collectors, municipal commissioners, superintendent of police and Zilla Parishad CEOs in Marathwada and uploaded it on a WhatsApp group for administrative officials. However, the confidential message got leaked on several WhatsApp groups within a few hours.

CM Thackeray held a meeting with all the divisional commissioner and all district collectors about the prevetive measures regarding the increase in corona patients. However, instead of giving written instructions to all the key officers of the department, the commissioner made an audio recording on Tuesday night and put it on the group that includes district collectors, ZP CEOs, all municipal commissioners, superintendents of police, police commissioners, some additional collectors and divisional deputy commissioners in eight districts. But the audiotape was leaked in a WhatsApp group in the city at 12:10 am. After that, the clip leaked on several groups. Some even asked the divisional commissioner late night about the clip. Kendrekar was outraged at how the confidential clip, which was uploaded to a administrative group, was leaked to the public. When contacted, Kendrekar declined to comment on the matter.

Mischievously leaked the clip

In the clip, Kendrekar has instructed the district collectors to remain alert about the situation in Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded and Aurangabad districts. The commissioner has never instructed the officers of the division in polite language till date. So, in order to bring this before the public, some of the group members mischievously made the clip viral on social media. However, Kendrekar is known for his straight to the point attitude among citizens. After hearing the clip, many citizens were happy that the commissioner was making the administration officials aware of their responsibilities.
