DDMA to set guidelines on unlocking situation from June 7

Aurangabad, June 5:

The district collector Sunil Chavan said that the decision on unlocking the pandemic situation (whether partially or fully), from June 7, will be taken in phases in the meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) through discussion.

The office-bearers and members of DDMA will be meeting tomorrow (on Sunday) at 10 am under the chairmanship of the district collector. Earlier, the state government has declared that the situation will be unlocked in five phases (levels). Taking the cue, the local administration will decide on the unlocking after reviewing the present situation in the district. The administration will analyse the impact of the second wave of Coronavirus in the district (including the city), the status of active patients, the number of beds with oxygen and ventilators (occupied and empty), positivity rate, etc.

It may be noted that the neighbouring district of Aurangabad has reported the arrival of the third wave. No doubt, the Covid situation of our district is under the control but will have to remain alert. Hence the final decision over granting relaxations will be taken unanimously by members after discussion in the meeting.
