Demand for 1L, received only 30K Corona vaccine doses

Aurangabad, April 12:

In the backdrop of the increased Corona pandemic, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has implemented a massive vaccination drive in the city. However, the vaccine doses are falling short. The administration has demanded one lakh doses of vaccines to the government, but received only 30,000 doses which will last for only five days. For continuing the vaccination drive, the assistance of the NGOs and the social organization, the officers said.

The AMC started the mega vaccination drive from April 5 onwards. The government had directed the administration to launch the Vaccination festival from Sunday. Hence, the administration established 121 vaccination booths in 115 wards in the city. The vaccination drive is getting a good response now. On Saturday, 7367 persons were administered vaccines. Hence, the administration demanded one lakh vaccination doses, but the government provided only 30,000, which will last for only four more days.
