Despite experiments, traffic jams inevitable on Jalna Road

Aurangabad, July 23:

Despite conducting several experiments, the traffic jams on the busiest Jalna Road do not seem to cease. The traffic jams were experienced at Kranti Chowk, Mondha Naka, and Seven Hills flyovers on Friday afternoon. The mild showers at the same time caused severe inconvenience to the commuters.

The existing traffic system on the Jalna Road was changed on an experimental basis a few months back. Last week, a decision was taken to regularize these changes forever as it yielded better results. As per these changes, the signals at the Akashwani Chowk, Dudh Dairy Chowk were closed between 9 am, and 11 am. The vehicles coming from Kranti Chowk and going towards Trimurti Chowk had to go below the Seven Hills flyover. Similarly, people going to Khokadpura had to take a U-turn below the Kranti Chowk flyover. Hence, vehicles are gathering below the flyovers. The traffic was jammed at various places on Jalna Road on Friday. Even after implementing the new rules for traffic regularization, the jams have not stopped.
