Aurangabad, Jan 31:

In the first phase of Corona vaccination drive across the country, the doctors and health employees are being vaccinated. However, it has been found that the domestic help working in the houses of the private doctors have also been administered Corona vaccine as health employees in the city

The Corona vaccination drive started in the city from January 16. Around 33,000 front line health employees were registered for the vaccination in the first phase in the district. A person working in the house of a doctor of a private hospital was also administered dose. Moreover, this incident is not limited only to one person. There is a possibility that many such persons who are not having any direct concern with the patients services have been administered doses after registration.

Such persons have been registered for the vaccination drive as the employees of the hospital. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has taken the issue seriously and decided to investigate the matter thoroughly.

There are also rumours that the persons working at the houses of the CAs of the doctors were also given doses. However, the health machinery is unaware about it. The health machinery is administering the doses with verifying the persons working in the hospital.

A person working in the house of the doctor of the Gade Hospital in Pundliknagar was administered Corona vaccine. A video of this person about the vaccine was viral recently. However, the other employees of the hospital told that this person is not working in the hospital.

When tried to contact Dr Yashwant Gade in this regard, he did not receive the phone call and answered through a message that there is permission to give doses to the hospital employees, driver, watchman, accountant and other employees. This is not a crime, he replied.

AMC medical officer Dr Neeta Padalkar said that the private hospitals have provided information about the employees and accordingly the doses are being administered. If any other person than the health employee is taking the doses, strict action will be taken in this regard, she said.
