Aurangabad, Oct 14:

The Department of Posts (DoP) has restored the functioning of its Aadhar Updation and Enrolment Centres in its division (comprising Aurangabad and Jalna districts) after seven long months.

" The centres were closed down owing to implementation of lockdown in connection with Covid-19. We have restored the functioning of 34 Aadhar Updation and Enrolment Centres from Monday. However, the citizens are not aware of the re-opening of centres. The centres at head post offices (HPOs) will be functioning from 10 am to 6 pm, while the centres at sub-post offices will function from 2 pm to 4 pm daily," said the assistant superintendent of posts Shaikh Asad.

The centres in HPO of Aurangabad and Jalna will remain open from 10 am to 6 pm. The ASP underlined that the HPOs are distributing tokens to the desirous citizens at 8 am. The centres in the sub-post offices at Cantonment, Railway Station, Chikalthana, Chikalthana MIDC, Cidco Colony, University, Garkheda, Osmanpura, Satara Parisar, Kranti Chowk, Saraswati Colony, Sessions Court, Fazalpura, Shahgunj, Bidkin, Ellora, Gangapur, Kannad, Khuldabad, Lasur, Vaijapur, Waluj, Sillod and Paithan will be functioning from 2 pm to 4 pm.
