English Schools Association calls off agitation; Edu officer assures to fulfil demands

Aurangabad, Jan 11:

Education officer (Primary) Surajprasad Jaiswal assured the delegation of Maharashtra English Schools Association (MESA) on Monday of fulfilling their demands.

The Association decided to stage indefinite strike from January 14 for their different demands including a refund of fees admitted students on reserved seats under Right to Education (RTE), giving an extension of divisions. EO Surajprasad Jaiswal called the MESA office bearers for the meeting today.

He assured them of fulfilling their pending demands within a week. Association president Prahlad Shinde said that they had called off the agitation after assurance from the Education Officer.

Jaiswal informed the association a report was submitted to the commissioner of police about those who are attacking schools with the intention of extortion. Association vice-president Hanuman Bhondwe, PravinAhale, Sunil Magar, Sanjay Patil, Ratnakar Phalke, Vishwasrao Dabhade, Shaikh Ziya and others were present.
