Facts found in the inquiry against Londhe

Aurangabad, Feb 4:

The investigation into the complaint lodged by the Gramsevak union against Paithan block development officer Vijay Londhe has found the allegations to be true. Sources said that the committee has found facts in the investigation conducted by the additional chief executive officer Santosh Kawade on January 27.

After the death of the village development officer Sanjay Shinde, the Gramsevak union had demanded an investigation against Londhe. Accordingly, a committee was set up under the chairmanship of the Kawade and ordered to submit a report. An investigation was carried out on January 27. The report is in the final stages and will be submitted to the ZP chief executive officer Mangesh Gondawale. The report will then be forwarded to the divisional commissioner and later to the rural development secretary. The decision regarding the departmental enquiry will be taken thereafter, said sources. In the last six months, eight to ten gramsevaks have been transferred by BDO Londhe. Records of three to four gramsevaks were also seized and salaries of two to three gramsevaks have been withheld. The Bidkin police have also informed the Zilla Parishad about a case against BDO.
