Funds of more than Rs 45 crore raised for Ram Temple

Aurangabad, March 5:

The Shriram Nidhi Samarpan Abhiyan ( fundraising campaign) has reached 33,66,603 families in Deogiri region comprising of 15 districts in Marathwada and Khandesh and funds amounting to Rs 45,06,25,305 were collected informed president of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and campaign head Sanjayappa Bargaje and Bhaskargiri Maharaj's representative Janardan Mete Maharaj here on Friday.

The campaign was implemented from January 15 to February 15. Over 1.60 lakh Gram Sevaks, as well as VHP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) activists participated in the campaign. The activists reached 11,344 villages in the region and a total of 1,062 settlements in the city. An audit of the funds is currently underway and upon completion, it will be handed over to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Nyasa after March 10.

Processions and march were organised in villages and settlements. More than 2,000 sants from different sects participated in it. Various activities like Ram Katha, Bhajan, Kirtan, Rangoli, Laxman Shakti were held. Street dramas and plays were also organized. Around 10,000 prasad camps of Ram Khichdi were organized. The Ram Rath was taken out through various villages. Especially in Nandurbar, Kinwat, Dhule, the chariot was worshipped with enthusiasm said Bargaje. He said that people from the Christian and Muslim community contributed to the fund as devotees. As well as transgenders, cobbler and garbage collectors contributed to the fund. Bargaje said that more funds were collected from the Jalna district and activists of all parties including Congress took their share as Ram devotees in raising funds. He said that the Ram temple is now the national temple and this temple will be known as the cultural capital of the world.
