Govt Engg College's team Aryans bags 3rd rank in BAJA SAE Contest

Aurangabad, April 28:

Team Aryans of Government College of Engineering maintained their dominance in the BAJA SAE India 2021 by bagging all India rank third in the audio-visual mode competition arranged from April 21 to 25.

This is an Engineering Design competition arranged by the Society of Automotive Engineers, India and the competition had changed its face to a virtual type this year due to the ongoing pandemic.

Earlier in the tournament, the same team had finished second at the national level twice in 2018 and 2020. This year, 200 teams participated to challenge their engineering design and manufacturing knowledge.

Team Aryans has shown a high amount of proficiency in different competition domains by achieving the first rank in the ‘Manufacturing’ section, the first rank in the ‘Brake’ test, second in ‘Maneuverability’ and third in overall dynamic simulation in Germany Based IPG Carmaker simulation.

The team maintained its tradition of finishing at least an event on the podium by dominating the pandemic situation and working from home. While everything was online, all the students spontaneously fulfilled their team responsibilities. Pradeep Madane led the team towards the podium and played an important role in this competition. The names of team members are Prajwal Gote, Amruta Yadav, Kaivalya Pande, Tushar Khodankar, Pushparaj Dongre, Atharva Bagad, Saurabh Singare, Parth Bramhapurkar, Amit Sonawane, Sakshi Tungikar, Chaitanya Bhagat, Sarthak Joshi, Akram Syed, Mahesh Gadalkar, Yashwant Mali and Pankaj Chaudhary.

The team was coordinated and guided by Dr A M Nikalje throughout the season.

Head of Mechanical Department Dr S B DrChikalthankar, dean of Student Activities Dr U J Kahalekar, Principal Dr P B Murnal congratulated the team for their success.
