Graduates Constituency polls: MVA alliance partners to take joint decision on candidates

Aurangabad, Oct 21:

Coalition partners of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) will take a decision together over fielding candidates for the Graduates Constituency elections in different regions of the State including Marathwada. There will be joint meetings of the leaders. According to senior leaders of Shiv Sena, the seat each Constituency will be left for the party, which had MLC last time. The six-year term of the MLC of Marathwada Satish Chavan ended a few months ago. There is a high possibility of BJP to face MVA alliance candidates in the election. NCP has domination in Marathwada Graduates Constituency. So, NCP will contest from the Constituency and Congress and Sena will support it.The same formula is likely to be adopted for other constituencies as well. There are three aspirants from BJP while there is only name from MVA.Two or three independent candidates can also join the fray. There is a possibility of fielding a candidate by AIMIM. It is almost sure that Marathwada Constituency seat will go to NCP in negotiation. The meeting of MVA will be held after the declaration of the election notification. Initially, it indicates that Sena will not field a candidate this time while the party had fielded a candidate in the last election. Sena contact chief Vinod Ghosalkar said that there is no discussion on party level about election candidate yet.He informed that chief all the three parties-Jayant Patil, Balasaheb Thorat and some Sena leaders would take decision jointly on the candidates for Kokan, Amravati and Marathwada graduates constituency election.
