Haseen Begum returns from Pakistan jail after 18 years

Aurangabad, Jan 27:

Haseena Begum, a resident of Aurangabad returned to Aurangabad on the Republic Day on January 26 (Tuesday) after staying in the Jail at Pakistan for 18 years as her passport was lost at Lahore.

Haseena Begum, a resident of Rashidpura area was married to Dishad Ahmed, Saharanpur at Uttar Pradesh. She had gone to Pakistan to meet her husband’s relatives at Pakistan 18 years back. However, she lost her passport at Lahore and was put in the Jail at Pakistan. Meanwhile, she submitted an application in the Pakistan court. Accordingly, the court sought information about her from the Indian police. The Aurangabad police informed the Pakistan court that she has a home in her name at Rashidpura area in the City Chowk police station jurisdiction. Later, the Court released her last week and handed her over to the Indian officers.

When she returned to Aurangabad, her relatives and Aurangabad police welcomed her. She narrated her experiences at Pakistan. She said that he had gone through severe hardship. She also thanked the Aurangabad police for helping her.
