Hearing on vacant posts in Govt hospitals to be held on July 8

Aurangabad, July 6:

The hearing on public interest litigation (PIL) filed by MP Imtiaz Jaleel about vacant posts and lack of medical facilities in Government hospitals of the district will be held in Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court on July 8.

Advocate general of the State was to submit the road map on Tuesday personally.

The court was informed that he could not come as he would remain present for a hearing of another case in Bombay High Court. Petitioner MP Imtiaz Jaleel was present in person.

Chief Government pleader D R Kale, and assistant Government pleader Sujit Karlekar represented the Government.

The court today directed Rajkot-based M/s Jyoti CNC Automation Company to submit its affidavit within one week. This company had supplied ventilators to Government Medical College and Hospital from PM Care Fund. The court took a suo moto cognizance of news items published by Lokmat Times and other city newspapers about mucormycosis and its injection. The hearing, in this case, will be held on July 20.

Adv Satyajit Bora appears as amicus curiae (friend of the court), while chief government pleader D R Kale represents the Government. Assistant solicitor general A G Talhar appearing in the case.
