Hospital Welfare Association office-bearers meet Tope, narrate their difficulties, seek increase in packages under MJPAY

Aurangabad, May 25: Members of Hospital Welfare Association, Maharashtra met Public Health Minister Rajesh Tope and CEO-

Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) Dr Sudhakar Shinde in Mumbai today and discussed the important concerns of network hospitals empanelled with MJPJAY.

The association representatives told the minister that even though the network hospitals were giving their best services, hospitals had been ignored for the past 10 years.

According to an Association statement, health minister took cognizance of the issues raised and agreed to certain ongoing difficulties including the recent notices served to few hospitals for refund of amount of treated COVID patients. He agreed for inclusion of hospital association members in the district redressal committee set up to resolve the patient hospital grievances.

Tope said that he will instruct all district collectors on priority for the same. Regarding the pending issue of revision of package rates under MJPJAY, the health minister asked the Association to propose the individual procedures per speciality to be considered for revision. Health minister and CEO assured the HWA for positive support to resolve the issues. They also assured of support to the hospitals for facilitating the MJPJAY packages for COVID and Mucormycosis cases. Important medication including Amphotericin will be provided by the government.

Dr J T Pol, President HWA, Dr Rajendra Goswami, Dr Bapusaheb Kandekar, Dr Sanjay Kadam, Dr Himanshu Gupta, Dr Baliram Bagal, Dr Chinmay Erram, and Dr Rajvaidya represented the HWA.
