Hotels, bars, restaurants will continue till half past eleven at night

Hotels, bars and restaurants in the city will be open from 7 am to 11.30 pm, municipal commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey said on Friday. Weekly markets, animal markets and trade fairs can be started in the city.

Under Mission Begin Again, the state government has issued new orders from October 3. The order allows for the opening of hotels, bars and restaurants. Referring to the same, Pandey has issued separate orders for the city. According to the orders, hotels, restaurants, bars and food courts will be open from 7 am to 11.30 pm till month end. Other commercial establishments will be open from 7 am to 9.30 pm. All industrial and manufacturing units in the municipal area will be allowed to start production of other items including essential items.

Outdoor sports such as cricket, kho-kho, indoor games like badminton, lawn tennis are being allowed for practice only in municipal corporation areas. Sports competitions, activities, conventions will be banned. Crowding at these places must be avoided. Only as many players as needed for practice should be admitted.

Admission should not be given to persons below 10 years and above 65 years. Thermal screening of every athlete who comes to practice should be done. Cinemas, swimming pools, amusement parks, auditoriums, assembly halls and similar places will remain closed. Pandey has clarified that social, political, sports, entertainment, educational, cultural and religious programs will not be allowed.
