Industrial associations and Waluj police to work together to resolve issues

A meeting was held at Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) Waluj between the industrial association and the Waluj police officials to discuss the increasing thefts, traffic jams and security measures on Wednesday.

The Waluj industrial area is plagued with several issues including theft, traffic jams and parking issues. The industrialists and workers are fed up with these problems. Hence a meeting was organized with Waluj police officials to find out a solution. In the meeting, the police requested the members to install CCTV cameras in every company to keep an eye on thefts. They also asked the companies to change the shift times so that it will help in reducing the traffic jams in the morning and evening. The police also asked the industry associations to appeal to their members to park their vehicles and trucks in the parking lots of the companies to help in reducing traffic congestion. MASSIA president Abhay Hanchanal, Confederation of Indian Industry chairman Mukund Kulkarni, CMIA president Kamlesh Dhoot, Waluj police station PI Madhukar Sawant, Waluj traffic branch PI Sahebrao Udar and representatives of corporate companies were present on the occasion.

The representatives of all the industrial associations thanked the police department for providing all possible assistance to the industries during the Covid-19 period. CII president Mukund Kulkarni on behalf of all the associations assured the police administration that in the MASSIA, CII and CMIA would jointly hold a drive to encourage all entrepreneurial members to install CCTV and try to change shifts in consultation with major companies to reduce traffic congestion.
