Inquiry in irregularities in health department exam

Chikalthana police on Sunday busted a racket providing answers to the candidates of the health department examination from a study centre at Khokadpura. Deputy health director Dr Swapnil Lale said that an inquiry will be conducted in this matter from the health department, and a case will be lodged.

The examination was held on Sunday across the state to fill the vacant posts in the public health department. The exam was held at 35 centres in the city in two sessions between 10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm. While the examination was going on in the morning session, the police raided a study centre at Khokadpura and it was unveiled that answers were provided from the study centres to the candidates during the examination. As soon as the news spread, there was chaos in the health department. The examination was held through a private company. The police will conduct their inquiry but the health department will also conduct a separate inquiry in this matter, said Dr Lale.

The names of the candidates to whom the answers were provided from the study centre will come to the fore during the police investigation. However, the health department has not clarified that what action will be taken against them. There is a possibility that such irregularities must have occurred at various centres across the state.
