IRS officer Anant Tambe dies from Covid in city

Aurangabad, May 3: Anant Tambe, an IRS officer and additional personal secretary to union minister Prakash Javadekar, died due to the coronavirus infection at a private hospital in Amarpreet Chowk at 10.50 am on Monday. He was 32.

According to the hospital sources, he was admitted on April 23 and was on the oxygen support from the first day. His health was deteriorating continuously. Hence, he was on ventilator support for the last four days. Doctors made all efforts to save him but he breathed his last this morning.

His untimely death came as a rude shock to all. Javadekar in his twit expressed his deep shock and sorrow over Tambe’s death and paid tribute to the departed soul. “With his death, we have lost a cheerful and young officer,” the union minister said.
