Kidnapped hotelier released from Beed

Aurangabad, Oct 14:

A hotelier who was abducted from Aurangabad was rescued by City Chowk police from Beed. Police arrested two kidnappers in the case. The arrested kidnappers are identified as Suresh Giram and Rajabhau Solunke (residents of Beed). Police are searching for the other accomplices.

According to police, Vikas Vashisht Fartale (27, Shivajinagar) is the name of the released hotelier. Vikas had taken Rs 3 lakh from the accused Giram to start an oil factory. Vikas could not repay the money to the accused as the hotel was closed due to the lockdown. Not only that, but when Giram asked for money, Vikas was giving him vague answers. As a result, Giram, Solunke and three others abducted Vikas from the premises of collector office on Tuesday evening.

His father had lodged a complaint with the City chowk police station about the abduction. Under the guidance of inspector Sambhaji Pawar, a team of PSI Praveen Patharkar, Appasaheb Deshmukh, Sanjay Nand, Sheikh Gaffar, Deshraj More and Datta Bade reached Beed at night and started searching for the accused.

The suspect was at his home in Beed while the other accused did not come to Beed. Thus the police kept an eye on the house. Meanwhile, the accused entered Beed this morning taking Vikas from the suspected jeep.

However, only Giram, Solunke and Vikas were in the jeep. The police stopped the jeep and released Vikas and brought them to the city with the accused. After the accused abducted Vikas from Aurangabad, they first went to Jalna, Mantha and Ashti and reached Beed in the morning. Meanwhile, they had a meal together at a dhaba at night, the source said.
