LCB busts inter-state gang stealing Hyva trucks

Aurangabad, Jan 9:

The local crime branch of the rural police, busted a gang involved in stealing Hyva trucks. In all, 11 members of the gang have been arrested while 3 Hyva trucks, 3 cars, a motorcycle and mobile phones, all amounting Rs 1,03,20,000 have been seized.

The arrested have been identified as Parmeshwar alias Hawa Sakharam Wagh (26, Wankhedenagar, N-13), Sominath alias Sonya Suresh Ghodke (Pimpriraja), Santosh alias Bakasur Dnyaneshwar Thorat (27, Waghalgaon, Phulambri), Vijay Jaggannath Dhule (20, Chitepimpalgaon), Jeevan Manik Karad 928, Pirachiwadi), Sachin Subhash Karad (20, Hivrasinga, Shirur, Beed), Ganpat Parmeshwar Jaybhaye (48, Ankushnagar, Ambad), Dnyaneshwar Sarjerao Dahiphale (30, Vitthalwadi, Pathardi, Ahmednagar), Rajendra Shankar Devkar (30, Charanwadi, Nashik), Sopan Prabhakar More (36, Ukhalwadi, Shirur) and Rahul Shrimat Durlekar (36, Narotewadi, North Solapur).

PI, Bhagwat Phunde said, a resident of Akashwani area, Ramzan Sher Mohammad Charniya’s (65) Hyva truck was stone on December 31 and he lodged a complaint at the Chikalthana police station in this regard next day.

Superintendent of police, Mokshada Patil directed the local crime branch to investigate the case in depth. Accordingly, PI Phunde, PSI Sandeep Solunke, Ganesh Raut, head constable Vasant Latpate, Shrimant Bhalerao, Dhiraj Jadhav and others investigated and found that the Hyva truck was stolen by Parmeshwar alias Hawa and his accomplices. He was arrested but initially he refused that he has stolen the truck but after strict interrogation, he confessed that the crime that he had stolen the truck with his accomplices Sominath alias Sonya, Santosh alias Bakasur and Vijay Dhule.

He told the police that they used to give the stolen trucks to accused Jeevan Karad for which they used to get Rs 1.5 lakh for each truck. Karad with Sachin Bade and Jaybhaye used to sell the trucks at various places in the state and other states.
