Married youth murdered with sharp-edged weapons

Aurangabad, Oct 15:

A married youth was brutally murdered with sharp-edged weapons at Siresaygaon Shivar in Gangapur tehsil today early this morning. The deceased have been identified as Sunil Devidas Shejwal (27) and is a resident of Kolhati Wadgaon.

It so happened that the villagers informed the Shillegaon police that a body of an unidentified person is lying in a pool of blood on the road heading to Shankarpura Phata (which is on the north of Shiresaygaon) today at 6 am. Acting upon the information, the Shillegaon police inspector Ravindra Khandekar, PSI Ram Barhate, Santosh Giri, Dadarao Tidke and others rushed towards the spot and performed the panchanama. The cops spotted marks of sharp-edged weapons on the neck, hands and stomach. The police also recovered a packet of chilli powder, empty liquor bottles and two knives. Meanwhile, the local crime branch''s Bhagwat Phunde and sub-divisional police officer (of Gangapur) Sandeep Gavit also inspected the spot with their teams. The police pressed the dog squad to get the lead in the case.

Meanwhile, the Shillegaon police have registered an offence of murder against an unidentified person. Further investigation is on by PI Khandekar.
